Students entering Sacred Heart School at Foundation level have several opportunities to visit the school and experience school life. The process begins with an Open mornings in Term Three and Four of the year prior to Foundation. Following enrolment interviews and placement offers there are two or three transition visits where new students spend time at Sacred Heart School getting to know the school, staff and other students.

Transition days can be organised for students entering other year levels so that they can become familiar to the school. There is also a whole school Transition Day in early December. All new families to the school are encouraged to spend time speaking with the relevant teachers to discuss how to best support their child.

Students who leave Sacred Heart School at the end of Year Six take part in transition programs organised by their individual secondary school.
